About Our Ski Resort Reviews

We visit and ski every resort we review

We tell you more about all aspects of the resorts to help you find your ideal ski destination.

We share our experiences on the lifts and the pistes, restaurants and ski village. Our practical information sections give you ideas about where to stay and what to do.

For skiers with a disability, our resort handiski guides will help you choose where to go.

We rate it (or we don’t)

So far we’ve skied over 60 ski areas in France alone. That kind of insight allows us to rate what they offer, honestly and objectively.

There are no bad resorts but no perfect ones either – it’s all about finding what’s best for you.

At A Glance

In a hurry? Our in-profile section tells you important stuff at a glance, from the type of resort to what we think of the village and scenery.

Or, Dig Deeper

Read our insight article giving blow-by-blow accounts of our experiences – how we got around, what lifts we took, some favourite pistes plus best viewpoints and places to stop for lunch.

Our images are unique, too

See all aspects of the ski resort exactly as we experienced it, with images taken by MountainPassions Editor and travel photographer Roger Moss.

We won’t use 3rd-party tourism shots unless we hit unworkable weather conditions. If that’s what happened, then we’ll say so.

We’re experienced media pros, but we travel independently and we work hard to discover each resort as any other skier would.

For us, though, it’s no holiday, so to make our work possible we need some support.

We’re grateful to award-winning specialist ski tour operators Peak Retreats and Ski Collection, who select typical mid-range resort accommodation for us to sample.

Wherever we stay, we’ll tell you exactly what we thought, and what to expect.

We thank local Tourist Offices and lift companies for help with lift passes, etc.
