Skiers to get more options in the French Alps this winter

French Alps specialist Peak Retreats expands resorts and properties for 2020/21

Loyal clients of award-winning French Alps specialist, Peak Retreats will discover new additions to its winter programme ahead of the 2020/21 winter season. The tour operator is proud to introduce new accommodation and a new resort in the fourth largest ski area in the Alps, Les Sybelles, as well as adding the Jura mountains to its winter programme for the first time. New accommodation in Les Deux Alpes and La Rosière will also be welcome additions in these popular resorts.

Les Sybelles

Additions for winter 2020/21 in the vast Les Sybelles ski area (310km of slopes), which is still largely unexplored by the UK market:

Le Corbier, Les Sybelles, Maurienne Valley

The relatively uncrowded resort of Le Corbier makes up part of Les Sybelles 310km network of piste and is situated only 1 hour from Chambery in the heart of the Maurienne Valley. Le Corbier was awarded the Famille Plus label in 2006 thanks to the facilities and activities suited to all ages and abilities, making it a welcoming environment for families. Most of the resort is also ski-in/ski-out, as well as pedestrianised, plus there’s a dedicated sledging area, a snowpark, and fun slopes. The new L’Etoile des Sybelles apartments are at the foot of the slopes. They boast an indoor/outdoor pool with a south-facing terrace and a cosy lounge area with bar. Built using an environmentally friendly construction technique of modular blocks of timber, this residence is the first of its kind in a ski resort.
