LIMITED EDITIONS
Some occasions deserve outstanding products. That’s why for the past 10 years Dynastar has been creating “Limited Editions” to meet specific requirements.
CHAMONIX
Linking pleasure
and a noble cause
Dynastar and Chamonix have put their names together on “Chamonix” skis as a symbol of 45
years of sharing and working together for two partners equally concerned with the environment, and
especially with preservation of the Mont-Blanc site. To stress its attachment to this outstanding site, its natural laboratory and its sports playground, but also all mountain areas endangered by climate change, Dynastar pays 50€ per pair of Chamonix skis sold (ladies or gents) to the
Observatoire du Mont Blanc. This association of scientists has a special mission to conduct a world-wide study into the impact of global warming on the glaciers of our planet.

MÉRIBEL
A Royal Start
To celebrate its 70th birthday, Méribel has decided to create the most emblematic of gifts to
please resort regulars, giving its name to a pair of skis. A new Dynastar limited edition for Ladies
or Gents, featuring an authentic reproduction of the summits surrounding the famous resort. His
Royal Highness the Count of Wessex, sponsor of the British ski federation, and his wife Princess
Sophie, were the first to receive these skis during their official presentation.

SNOWBIRD
French know-how
under American colours
Snowbird and Dynastar, the two great names of freeride, are having a great time on
the American continent with a partnership that is both technical and fun. They find full
expression through a custom freeride ski, the Legend Snowbird ski, and through jointly
organized top events like the famous Spring Daze that at the end of the season will bring
280 ski professionals and athletes from all parts of North America together for 4 days.

The Dynastar limited edition collection features more than 20 models, and among the very first are the Megève ski in 2000 and the Courchevel ski in 2003. Next came haute couture models, Dior and Hugo Boss and unique skis for exceptional Ladies launched with Cendrine Dominguez, or mountaineer Catherine D’Estivelle, singer Zazie, or windsurf champion Nathalie Simon. Dynastar also signed the Phil Collins- Little Dreams charity ski or the AAllard commemorative ski, named after the famous ski trousers. Each of them being a new temptation for collectors of rarity. Unique know-how and responsiveness means the Mont-Blanc brand can offer small series for women and men alike, with exclusive and highly demanding partners.

VAL D'ISÈRE
Symbol of the World Championships
In 2004, Val d’Isère and Dynastar launched the Val d’Isère ski with women’s and men’s models, dedicated to the valley’s ski tracks. Four years later, as the resort gets into the starting blocks to organize the World Ski Championships in February 2009, Dynastar has introduced the new Val d’Isère ski for men – the third ski of this family: an all-mountain ski par excellence, 50% piste/50% off-piste versatile and sporting a finely carved decor where the natural colours of the Legend skis are associated with the historic red of the resort. A tribute to the diversity of the terrain which creates the playground at Val d’Isère, one of the most varied and demanding in sports’ terms in the world. The must have for this winter!
The Dynastar brand has teamed up with Rossignol to join the pool of French skiing partners for Val 2009, a major ski rendez-vous for the coming season.

DYNASTAR FERRARI FC08
The best of technology
Apart from the use of carbon fibre that allows a great lightness, a better resistance to shocks
and a pure sporting character, this new ski benefits from the latest technologies like the
Autodrive Fluid, a ski-binding integration system with a titanium rail and the racing sole with two
grooves that offer better stability in a straight line.
A unique design
When two brands that both love technology and speed team up to create a new standard of performance in the area of skiing, the result is: the Dynastar Ferrari FC 08 ski!
The ski was born from Dynastar’s know-how in terms of precision and power on the snow.
It has a carbon structure, a reference to the world of motor racing, but a new
approach when it comes to skis. The new ski is called Dynastar Ferrari
FC 08 to claim its links to both Ferrari and Carbon. It tops the Dynastar Ferrari range.
Today the offer is three models of skis – two adults and one junior; two ski boots – one
adult and one junior as well as ski poles, boot and ski bags.
The lines of the Dynastar Ferrari FC08 ski are the purest; innovation and sporting character are highlighted by the vision of the carbon fibre. The asymmetrical design results in incredible lines enhanced by a mirror effect and the 3D Ferrari rearing horse on the tip.
The Fluid PX 12TI bindings in the Ferrari red livery and the titanium plate with Ferrari engraved
put the finishing touches to a top-of-the-range product even in its smallest details.
All Dynastar’s know-how and the technological leap obtained through joint work at both Ferrari’s
and Dynastar’s R&D departments is found on the snow. Never has a downhill ski been so technologically
proven, being high-performance and easy to ski regardless of the type of snow.
Few people realize that Dynastar is the last brand to still dream, design, develop... and manufacture its skis in France at its plant in Sallanches, at the foot of Mont Blanc. Despite the economic challenges raised by this choice, the reasons behind Dynastar’s strategy are clear:
Because this allows the brand full control over its entire production chain: from the manufacture of ski components (graphics, bases, cores, fibre cutting and gluing) up to machining and finishing, everything is done at a single location.
Because since 1963 the men and women at Dynastar have been developing and perpetuating a specific know-how that they can guarantee and be proud of. This expertise allows us to produce top-of-the-line skis whose production requires the implementation of complex technologies and hands on manufacturing processes. The human involvement of all of our employees is the key to our quality. Moreover, cer tain models, such as the “Pro Rider”, are made by hand “with the precision of a goldsmith”.
Because this production site is near the actual skiing environment. Located only 20 minutes from large resorts like Chamonix or Megève, the R&D team can carry out snow tests almost daily, with the possibility to modify the characteristics of a ski in the plant and then check its new creations on the snow the same day! Our motto is written along the edge of our skis: Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley a long-term value.
Because this proximity is also crucial for all of the brand’s racers and technical consultants who travel back and forth to the plant to contribute their comments, request improvements, and validate prototypes. And if a model requires complete reworking, that’s not a problem – even our ski moulds are made in-house! Once the Racing Department even met the challenge to produce a complete, unique and specific pair of new skis in 2 weeks for a racer who then went out and brought home an Olympic medal a few days later. Guess who... Mister Aamodt of course.
Because they share the same passion for the mountains and are strongly attached to this unique site, everyone working for Dynastar, from operators to engineers and from technicians to top managers, contributes to perpetuate a tradition based on know-how and a passion for a job well done.
