Think stealth zips, stretch skiwear, jackets with wireless technology and designer glamour to get a taste of this season's snow favourites. The huge choice in size, colour and fabric offers something for everyone – hard core adventure maestros, beginners wanting to stay warm and look good, designer brand addicts and gadget lovers.

At last women no longer have to choose between fashion and technicality. Layer up with an amazing range of mid layer pieces – most brands tie up with their styles but mix and match to brighten your wardrobe. Pants are cut to look great and give comfort all day long – many are cut well on the hips but are higher waisted than before for warmth and comfort, take the Henri Duvillard Ingrid pant, for example. Fans of Killy cuts should look to E+O for great shapes. Even the classic brands such as Columbia have a great ‘jeans’ fit – check out the women’s Alexandria pant just £99.95.

No skier or snowboarder need ever complain about the cold again. Down jackets are “de rigueur” particularly off the slopes. Favourites such as The North Face Nuptse jacket faces a challenge from newcomers such as Zimtstern’s extra cosy, purple Tamer jacket. Just kit yourself out with insulated gloves and footwear, temperature controlled clothing, and Merino wool underwear. If you tend to overheat, get wicking in subtle or bright coloured layers.

Have perfect vision with the latest wide angle goggles. Tailor your own image and outfit, to weather, fashion, or adventure. Women have the greatest ever selection of specific kit - from skis, snowboards and boots to gloves, under, outer and après ski wear. For men try some of the latest audio jackets designed to control your iPod, MP3 or phone from a panel on your sleeve.
