Revelstoke Mountain Resort is situated on Mount Mackenzie in the Selkirk mountains 6 km (3.5 miles) Southeast of downtown Revelstoke. It is accessible via 4 international airports at Calgary, Vancouver, Kelowna and Kamloops. The ski area, launched in December 2007, offers world-class lifts for downhill skiing, snowcat, and helicopter skiing and snowboarding, plus cross-country skiing.

Revelstoke is expected to be completed over 15 years and will include over 5,000 new housing units (1,500 apartments, 2,000 hotel suites, 850 town houses and 550 private plots), as well as more than 500,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, and a signature golf course.
